206 B.C. – 220 A.D.
During Han dynasty, there was a game called “蹴鞠”, which translates to “kick ball”. It is the earliest style of association football according to FIFA. Tsu means “kicking the ball with feet” and Chu “ball made of leather and stuffed”. This game is also known as “Cuju”, was standardised and there were also rules created for this sport. Cuju players could use any parts of their bodies except their hands, and the aim was to kick the ball into an open net.
50 B.C.
The first international game was between Tsu Chu and Kemari players. Tsu Chu is a Chinese ancient way of playing football, and Kemari is an ancient Japanese way of playing football. These events happened approximately around 50 B.C. In 611 A.D. there was another of these events.
700s
The first football games played in the UK were in the East of England. Football those days was extreme because it was very common to die or get severe injuries during the game. There was one game that they kicked the Danish prince’s head around because England won a war against his country.
1314 - 1401
On 13 of April 1314, Edward II of England was the first person to try and ban football from the streets of London, but he didn’t succeed. Then his son Edward III of England tried to ban football, but by then football was already getting more popular even though it was violent and extreme. In 1389, Richard II, who was Edward III’s successor, tried to ban football again, and so did Henry IV in 1401. England wasn’t the only country that tried to ban football, King James I of Scotland also tried to ban football in 1424. The UK legalized football again in 1605.

The first rules for football were established in Eton College of England.
1830
England was the country of origin to create the modern way of playing football. Soccer was like a way to keep kids out of trouble and boredom in or out of school.
1861
The first football club formed outside England was in Boston Massachusetts, USA. and the name of this football club was Oneida Football Club. This club was formed by Gerrit Smith Miller and the president was Tom Mcgrath.
1863
Association Football was introduced to our world on October 26th, 1863. Eleven London clubs showed up at Freemason’s Tavern, which is a pub located in London. They all agreed to set up game rules for the forthcoming association football matches.
1888
Penalty kick was introduced into association football.
1904
Delegates from France, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland had a meeting that took place in Paris, France, on the 21st of May in 1904 and they all agreed on establishing FIFA.
1930
The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) set the first World Cup in all History in Montevideo, Uruguay.
1991
FIFA started the first women’s World Cup and it took place in GuangDong, China. The cup holder was United States.
