Cuju
During Han dynasty, there was a game called “蹴鞠”, which translates to “kick ball”. It is the earliest style of association football according to FIFA. Tsu means “kicking the ball with feet” and Chu “ball made of leather and stuffed”. This game is also known as “Cuju”, was standardised and there were also rules created for this sport. Cuju players could use any parts of their bodies except their hands, and the aim was to kick the ball into an open net.
